Tony Azevedo, as captain of his team , is ready for USA Water Polo to finally take home Gold medals, at this, his fourth Olympic Games. Tony already owns a silver medal from the Beijing Games, but for this team – which has trained hard all year – silver isn’t good enough. Our interview took place in London, at the 24 Hour Fitness High Performance Training Center. “Think of wrestling in the water. You’re focused in on trying to score, working with teammates while you’re getting roughed up like you wouldn’t believe. You should see the stuff that goes on under the water.
And all the while you’re trying not to die from drowning. I’d put water polo up with any sport in the world.”
