You may not even think these food or beverage items “count”, but they do. Our job is to help you in your weight loss goals and even if you were to burn one less calorie day; it would add up over time.
Running is one of the most popular go-to exercises in the world. This fact is hard to debate as our streets and parks are often lined with people putting one foot in front of the other for fitness. An interesting point to consider is that water is about 12-15 times more resistant than air. Now, let’s add two and two together to create a scenario where you could burn X more calories in the same amount of time with the same exact motion of putting one foot in front of the other. If you were to jog or run 30 minutes and burn 200 calories with absolutely no resistance, just think how adding 12-15 times the resistance would amplify calories burned! Jogging on land offers an outstanding workout, but jogging in the water may just have weight loss benefits you’ve never even dreamed. Find a pool, ocean or lake to run in and let the calories fly!
Fact: If you are running at your absolute highest threshold; you can burn up to 17 calories a minute running through water. That means it would only take you roughly 30 minutes running to burn 500 calories.
this post assumes that 12times more resistance will increase 12 times the ammount of calories burnt. Which I’m not convinced.
Not true! In fact, the article states that the amount of calories burned is amplified. It doesn’t state you’ll burn 12 times more.
