It is common knowledge that regular exercise reduces the risk of chronic conditions (i.e., heart disease, diabetes, high cholesterol), and helps to increase blood flow and oxygen levels in the body. However, did you know that regular exercise can also improve your sex drive?

During exercise and sexual activity, an individual’s body releases chemicals called endorphins. Endorphins interact with receptors in the brain that reduce our perceptions of pain.
