You may have seen the Rhythm Rocker by Kymaro advertised and promoted by some of the uber-fit pros from “Dancing with the Stars”, and have wondered if this fairly innovative fitness tool (which comes with a DVD set) is really the key to a trim and sexy dancer’s body. After trying this thing out for a while, I can assure you … it is not. However, it is not a “bad” or “worthless” tool either. It’s somewhere in the middle and if you’re interested, I’ll continue to share my professional opinion.
People who are incredibly fit will suffer great mental anguish while using the Rhythm Rocker. I only say this, because it requires little strength, stamina or flexibility and the moves are pretty redundant. Even during the “Unleash the Dancer in You!” DVD when the instructor Jennifer Galardi yells “whoo – this is hard cardio” … it’s not. It’s just simply not hard at all. So if you’re a person who is accustomed to being challenged, then stick with P90X, Insanity or something else like it.
Having said that, the Rhythm Rocker would be WONDERFUL for beginners and those with medical problems like painful joints or respiratory issues, as all of the DVD workouts are mild and are spent sitting down. The moves are simple and actually provide a pleasant lower back stretch too. The instructor is friendly, clear with her instructions, and offers an enjoyable exercise routine for someone who’s been struggling with the standard stuff like walking, running, weight lifting or dancing.
To sum it up, this tool is definitely pretty neat, but expectations on it have to be reasonable or consumers will be aggravated. In fact, if my Mom didn’t have particular issues with her spine, I’d buy one for her too.
Who’s it for? Beginners, seniors or people with joint weakness or pain.
Who shouldn’t get it? People with moderate to advanced fitness levels.
The Rhythm Rocker and a set of 3 DVDs retails for $99.99. Visit UBuyEZ.com to buy one.
