After weeks of anticipation, my kids lost their little minds as the Just Dance: Disney Party arrived at our door. It seems that most of my daughter Ginger’s 4th grade class has been abuzz about the release of this Wii game and Ginger was the lucky lady given early access to it. Our family, in general, loves Disney and also spends hours getting funky with previous versions of Just Dance on our Wii. To us, Just Dance: Disney Party
is kind of the Superbowl of the series.
If you want your family to remain active, even while indoors, you’re going to love this game. Just Dance: Disney Party offers 25 different songs paired with creative yet doable dance choreography to every genre of Disney in the books. You’ll find Disney classics from movies like: Mary Poppins, The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Jungle Book, Peter Pan, Aristocrats and more. On the new and modern side are songs from hit shows like: Hanna Montana, Shake It Up, ANT Farm, Phineas and Ferb, Jessie, Wizards of Waverly Place, Camp Rock, High School Musical and Good Luck Charlie. It’s the perfect combination of charming and cool. Our son, Parker (7), can’t get enough of the rap song “Squirrels in my Pants”. Who could?
Ginger and Parker have been having a blast and enjoying bring friends over to party with them. Our neighbor, Jane, is featured in the photo to the right. Almost as important, this game is perfect for adults too. I’m not embarrassed to say, that I’ve chosen this as my workout several times in the past few weeks. In fact, to change the pace for two of my hard-core personal training clients – we spent half of one session just getting down with the Disney Dance Party. Kim (40s) and Britanny (20s) absolutely loved it and were grateful they were getting a reprieve from running hills. Cool, right? All three of us had a blast getting down together and they even complained the dance moves made their arms tired. I said “waaaaahhhh – get over it!”
If your family is also addicted to Disney, I definitely suggest you get this. If you have no kids, but love to dance and would enjoy the nostalgia of old favorites … you need to get this too. It’s quite simply the type of wholesome and energetic fun folks of all age groups should have. My favorite songs? “Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious”, “HoeDown ThrowDown” and “Calling All the Monsters”.
Do you have this game yet? Are you planning on it? What are you favorite Just Dance Disney Party songs?
