How Much Weight Gain Will You Tolerate?

Weight’s a tricky issue and we all have standards of what we will or won’t accept. I spoke to a woman today who confessed to using an electric wheelchair just because she was morbidly obese. Nope, she’s not injured. She just thinks walking is “hard” and she’d rather not have to deal with it. Her words – not mine. This lead me to wonder why she let her weight get so completely out of control. For complete disclosure, I’d like you to know that in high school I weighed 40 pounds more than I do now. At some point I decided it was too much and chose to figure out how to eat more wisely and exercise more productively. That was clearly my line. Now, my line stands firm at two pounds more than I like to be. That way, I never have a sizey issue to deal with.

What’s your weight gain limit? Are you OK with 10, 20 or 50 pounds extra? Have you been walking around with an extra 35 pounds for years and have done nothing about it? We want to know. At what point will you put your foot down and make change? Clearly, the woman I spoke with today had no limit.

I was willing to be under a size 26. I then realized this SUCKS! So 3 months ago I made a change and I’m now size 18 and hoping to be 16 soon. I have not been a 14/16 since high school. I’m on a lifelong journey to be healthy fit and trim. I donated all processed foods in my house and then learned to LOVE veggies and fruit. I am now at 244 lbs and hope to be 150 some day.

Nothing over size 8/10 is my limit.
