Are you ready to bring yourself to the next level of cardio fitness? If you have hit a plateau or are just tired of the same old 2-mile jog on a treadmill, interval training will bring you new and improved results. Interval training involves bursts of high-intensity work followed by periods of low-intensity work. The high-intensity periods are typically at or close to maximum exertion, while the recovery periods may involve either complete rest or activity of lower intensity. A major bonus: it’s proven to burn more fat then standard cardio! You can do interval training on any cardio machine such as: bicycles, elliptical, treadmills, stair masters, etc … You can also do it outside in a pool, on the slopes, jogging trails or other.

Whatever you choose, start with 30-60 second bursts of intense training followed by two to three minutes of training at a moderate pace. As the weeks go by and your fitness level increases, increase the length of your high intensity training and decrease the length of your recovery periods.

Jump roping is the best type of interval training equipment and sprints work like magic! I got into serious shape by just doing interval training type jump roping along with bodyweight strength training. It definitely works!

Lost all bodyfat and gained pure muscle all while having 15 minute sessions! haha it’s great!
