Why do you Run? It is a great way for me to focus, have some me-time, and relieve stress! Plus it keeps me healthy.

How long have you been running? Four years.

Do you compete in running? Yes! I have run 19 half marathons, two full marathons (including Goofy’s challenge in WDW) and countless 5k’s.

Most challenging aspect of running: Training in the South where it is very hot and humid most of the year!

Most fun aspect of running: Racing! I love the thrill of crossing the finish line.

Most rewarding aspect of running: Meeting and exceeding personal goals I set for myself.

Who/what inspires you when you’re feeling weak? My husband, he runs too and is a great motivator!

Advice for others who’d like to get started: Start slow! Even if it’s just walking three times a week for 30 minutes, just get out there and move, then gradually start increasing your time.

Your must-have equipment for running: A well-fitting pair of shoes is essential. Go get fitted for a shoe at a running store, because it can make a huge difference.

Favorite training song: “Stronger” by Kelly Clarkson

Favorite healthy food: I love smoothies, so many variations to make!

Favorite not-so-healthy food: I have a big sweet tooth…brownies and ice cream would top the list.

Funniest /weirdest/most awkward experience while Running: Having people recognize me during races always cracks me up! “Hey! I read your blog!” is fun to hear!
