Wonderful wildlife, cafes and cakes, climbing mountains and whizzing round bends, taking new roads and exploring with friends. Getting away from the city where life is so gritty. Sportives and fun rides or a Strava segment, and after the ride thinking how glad that I went. As a MAMIL in lycra I can often look grim but cycling is brilliant as it helps me keep trim.

    • Michael P Rosenthal says:

When I am cycling I get to focus on what is beautiful in the world. I tend to ride alone with my thoughts. I experience the world and nature up close while being alone in my own thoughts.

    • Matt Johnson says:

I just enjoy it meditatively and it’s good for health.

  • Jen Weeks says:

Our whole family loves cycling. I like that is low impact, so it is easy on the joints. I like that you are moving fast enough to keep cool even on the hottest days. I also like that you can take in your surroundings as they change around you.

  • Jenna Z says:

I am practicing for a mini-tri and I LOVE the biking portion! I love that biking gives me a viable alternative to getting my car out for every little trip to the store/pot office/short commute to work. 🙂 And I like being in the open air and being able to say hi to neighbors, hear birds and check out everyone’s gardens each time I pass by.

  • Jodi says:

I like cycling because it is something you can do as a group and help each other out when one gets tired! You can also talk the entire time!! (really that is my favorite part! 🙂

  • Ron says:

I like cycling as a stress reliever. I ride my bike to and from work everyday and feel that it helps me not only save money on gas but also keeps me out of therapy!

  • Carter Stanley says:

I like biking because it makes me feel like im not on earth

  • Tim says:

Freedom. Nothing gives you more of a sense of freedom than cycling.

It’s not only great for your body, but also for your mind ..and soul.

Cycling is so much more than most people will ever know.

  • Cole says:

Besides cycling, I run for my school. Running is a very individual sport, meaning that it is hard to implement any teamwork. When cycling, everyone helps eachother reach their goals and push themselves. It’s also a great, open community in which everyone is enthusiastic about their riding. I love it.

  • John says:

Love cycling. Do mostly intervals now. I unfortunately ride when there aren’t groups, so its solo. Just love the freedom

  • Ashley says:

I like cycling because it’s made me get into caring about the Earth and has made me see that yeah, you can get groceries by bike or go somewhere 10-15 miles away, don’t have to get a ride or see if the bus goes there. I like that my fitness and stamina are better too!

  • Mo Wright says:

My freedom, my machine, my mind, my body…my ride…anywhere the road leads me!

  • Robert R Myrick says:

Biking is like being a bird out of it’s cage. Such a free feeling.

  • Fernando Munguia says:

I like cycling because I get to be out in nature and see the great outdoors.
