Pedz pedometers are designed to get  kids moving, walking, jumping and dancing more than they’re accustomed to doing.  These cute little frog shaped tools clip easily on the waistband and partner with a fun online program to help kids (and parents) set goals, monitor progress and more. Of  course pedometers are an old idea, but putting them to use on the little ones makes sense in our increasingly overweight and over-sick society.

My four and six year old children are pretty active by nature, but since I gave them their Pedz … they’ve literally been running circles around our house. I challenged them to achieve a day with 10,000 steps and they’ve come pretty close! In fact, they’ve been monitoring their step count closely and have specifically made efforts to up that number. Dance contests, races and walks around the neighborhood have already been instigated due to their ambitious intent to take 10,000 steps.  At the end of each day we log on to MyPedz.com to input their data and play some games. It’s been fun and we’ve loved it!

So now you have a chance to help your favorite child move more with increased chances of living a long healthy life, by winning them a Pedz pedometer. To enter, all you have to do is write in the comment section, your favorite athletic activity from your childhood.

You must include a valid email address so we can contact you if you win. Email addresses will NOT be shared with anyone or used in any capacity other than to notify the winner. Contest will end Saturday, September 18, 2009 at 5:00 pm EST. Winner will be chosen at random and should receive their prize from Fit 4 Kids within two weeks.
