World Cup and Olympic Champion, Brandi Chastain is someone most wont forget. Really, who will ever forget that moment when she ripped off her jersey after scoring the winning goal for USA Women’s first World Cup soccer championship? No one. Absolutely. No one. So yeah, she’s partly famous for her celebratory insanity, but she’s meaningful because she’s helped bring glory to the U.S.A. and inspired bazillions of young females in the process. Myself included. Brandi works with Gatorade who happens to be calling upon people to pledge their support to young athletes in their quest to BECOME.

Gatorade will donate one dollar up to $10,000 to the Women’s Sports Foundation for every pledge received at www.Gatorade.com/moms (just click “take the pledge now” on the main Gatorade Moms page). Simply read the pledge, click to commit and Gatorade will donate a dollar in support of girls’ and women’s sports. (You can pledge every day if you like!) The donation will help ensure there are opportunities for all youth who want to get physically active, get involved in competitive athletics and get in the game. What a fantastic prize, Fitz! My favorite soccer star is my 8-year-old Cassie, who — despite being a polite and reserved kid — is an absolute tiger on the field. Soccer has given her confidence in all areas of her life.
This is for my little pro soccer star, Dylan. He is 8 years old and really enjoys all sports, especially soccer. Dylan is my nephew who my sister adopted from birth. He is heaven sent and we love our little soccer star very much.
