ESPN’s Carrie Krieswirth and Katina Arnold are my two new favorite people. You see, I’m drawn to folks who take risks and step outside their boxes … and these ladies have done so big time. Katina is the Vice President of Communications at ESPN and Carrie is the Associate Director of Communications. We hooked up at runDisney’s Princess Half Marathon Weekend 2015 to share their success with you. Katina, also a mother of two, ventured in to the land of runDisney last year running the Princess Half Marathon and had so much fun … she happily took on the challenge again. But, while Katina was having fun earning her first medal, Carrie was undergoing her last chemotherapy session, after also having major surgery for breast cancer.
Inspired, Carrie decided to go way beyond just recovering. She decided to train for and run the 2015 runDisney Princess Half Marathon along with Katina. States apart, these two have been a tremendous support system for each other and inspired an entire gaggle of girls to give it a go as well. Check out our video interview to hear directly from Carrie and Katina. Congratulations girls, you did it!
Please accept my apologies for the sound quality on these interviews. A quiet place is nowhere to be found on race weekends!
