With Easter right around the corner, there are so many crafty and simple projects to choose from! An easy go-to Easter decoration includes different types of garland. Today, we will show you how to make DIY yarn Easter egg garland. It’ll add cheer to this colorful holiday and barely costs a thing! Your guests will be dying to know how you came up with such great decor. Happy Easter!

What you need:

-1 cup liquid starch

-1/2 cup flour

-Blender

-String or embroidery floss

-Water balloons

-Big needle

-Hot glue gun

Directions:

1. Make a stiffener mixture by using one cup of liquid starch mixed with half a cup of flour, and blend using a blender. To make more, just double or triple the recipe.

2. Grab some string or embroidery floss and gently stick it in the bowl of the starch goop. Coil your string into the mixture and softly press it into the goop, that way you avoid any knots.

3. Blow up water balloons (with air) and wrap the gooey string around the balloons. Make sure you wipe off the excess mixture and let it fall back into the bowl. You can make them whatever sizes you’d like.

4. It takes several hours to dry, so leave it out at least for a day or so. Once it dries, pop the balloon. There might be some crusty junk in-between the string, so just scrape it out using a straight pin.

5. To complete the garland, thread the eggs onto embroidery floss. This calls for a bigger needle.

6. You can thread it at about 1/4th of the way down from the top of the egg. To keep them in place, hot glue the eggs to the garland string.
