The Voice coach Adam Levine has been deemed the sexiest man alive along with one of the most successful artists in pop culture history. Mr. Levine is loved worldwide and recognized by his top songs, such as “She Will Be Loved,” or the more recent “Sugar” from Marron 5. He is an iconic figure in music and is continually working to improve personally. How is it that someone with his schedule finds the time to exercise? This may surprise you, but one of Adam’s hobbies is doing yoga. He stated that weights were making his neck too thick and he felt like he was turning into a monster. Yoga was never his first choice, but after trying it out, he can’t get enough! Here are some of his favorite yoga poses you can do yourself with some practice.
1. Half-moon with hands in prayer: The main reason he likes to practice this pose is to open up his tight hips. This result is also a plus when performing in front of thousands.
2. Headstand I: Levine is a fan of this Sirsasana pose because it makes you sweat and involves a lot of concentration to avoid falling over.
3. One-legged Koundinyasana II: This complicated sounding pose is one that Adam has mastered. All the weight is supported by the arms, so it’s a great way to strengthen your chest and shoulders.
“Yoga takes what you have and molds and sculpts it, which is a much more natural way to look and feel,” he says. Try out Adam’s favorite poses to jointly work on your meditation and gain body strength. Catch Adam on The Voice season eight premiere airing Monday, February 23 at 8/7c on NBC!
