If you’re a lover of juice but are sick of all the disgusting ingredients tossed in to most of the juice drinks lining your grocer’s shelves, then you’re probably going to love the idea of making your own. The fact of the matter is that most of those “juices” are full of sugar, high fructose corn syrup, dyes and worse. Knowing this, it’s hard to suggest you’re actually enjoying a healthy beverage when the ingredients scream otherwise. That’s where the new Jay Kordich PowerGrind Pro Hybrid Juicer comes in. It’s the rock star, top of the line, hard core way to blend up absolutely anything and everything to come out of your garden. I received one for review, used it and then past it around for some friends to try. We were all impressed by the immense ability this thing had to juice a cantaloupe rind. It’s true! It will probably grind absolutely anything you place in it, short of rocks. If you’re committed to juicing, then you’ll want to commit to the Jay Kordich PowerGrind Pro Hybrid Juicer, which retails for $289.
Juicing newbies will want to know in advance that juicing requires a ton of fruit. My pal Christy, who tried this machine was shocked to discover that an entire pint of blueberries barely made one eight ounce glass of juice. If you’re prepared for that, you may come at this thing with innovative recipes or fruit combinations. Jay’s site offers some recipes up here as well.
