What inspired you to become a Fitzness Ambassador?
Fitz has been motivating me to keep moving and incorporate strength training while being realistic with my eating. She has embraced that I have utilized medications for insulin resistance and has supported me through that journey and my 50-pound weight loss. I want others to know of the amazing resources available from Fitz.
How did you first discover Fitzness, and what has been your journey so far?
I discovered Fitzness at a runDisney event and have found it to be a welcoming community that is nothing but supportive of each other.
What are your favorite forms of exercise?
Running, walking, and lifting.
How do you stay motivated in your fitness journey?
Having accountability partners and people to work out with has helped me stay motivated.  Seeing progress has also assisted in keeping me motivated because I see the difference it is making.
Have you used the Exact Formula for Weight Loss?
I have used the Exact Formula as a guide. Although I have never counted calories, I’ve used it to think about the type of calories/food I am putting into my body and have worked towards making smarter choices.
What’s one piece of advice you would give to someone starting their fitness journey?
Take it one day at a time…one step at a time.  Try to do one more rep each day.
What are your personal fitness goals for the next year?
In the next year, I would like to see my times improve in my running races.
How do you plan to inspire others in the Fitzness community?
Be a positive and encouraging voice to those who need support.
Favorite healthy food:
Air-fried chicken and fresh-cut raw vegetables
Favorite unhealthy food:
Hostess products – cupcakes, twinkies, ring dings
Favorite song to workout to:
Right now…”Roar” and “Stronger” from the Broadway soundtrack of & Juliet.
What fitness accomplishment are you most proud of?
I will be running my 100th half marathon in December 2024.  I was the girl medically excused from running the mile in high school, so I never thought I would be a runner, let alone a half marathon runner.
