Yup, you read that right. Apple Nachos. When I first saw this recipe, I thought about apples topped with queso, guacamole, salsa, etc. Uhhh no thank you.

2. “Dairy Queen” Blizzard 

Dairy Queen Blizzards are not only incredibly tasty, but they also defy the laws of gravity. When held upside down, blizzards never fall out of the cup! That always amazed me as a kid (who am I kidding? It still does).

Here’s a recipe where you can do the very same AND indulge in something delectable. Made with frozen whipped bananas, it is hardly distinguishable from real ice cream.

3. Queso 

Ahhhh queso (insert heart eyes here). Who doesn’t love scooping warm, creamy, and melted cheese onto a chip? If queso is your snacking kryptonite, try out this recipe!

Spoiler alert: the recipe actually doesn’t use any cheese. I know… how can it be called “queso” with no cheese? Well, if you see past the technicalities, this is a great healthy substitute to the real thing.

To quote the stand-up comedian Jim Gaffigan: “Has your mother ever made anything as good as McDonalds fries? (pause for comedic effect) Not even close.” 

It is difficult to say no to french fries! But, there are plenty of ways to still get that crunchy and salty satisfaction healthily. 

This recipe uses sweet potatoes which pack a big nutritional punch and confer many health benefits. Topped off with some homemade tahini sauce, this recipe is delish!

Calling all chocolate lovers!! This ones for you. 

Four simple ingredients and some stirring later, you have yourself some awesome brownies. Although not in the recipe, feel free to throw in some dark chocolate chips! 

Pro tip: The recipe uses bananas so make sure they are RIPE! Bitter brownies are no fun.
