The men’s locker room is a sacred place. There are rarely written rules for us, however there are plenty of unwritten rules that should apply universally. Stick with these basics and you are sure not to attract any unwanted attention.
Eye Contact
This is a must. In a locker room filled with nude guys, it is best to keep your eyes up. The easiest way to make people uncomfortable is to avoid eye contact or be constantly looking around.
Never Have Your Towel Off For Extended Period of Time
Do not be that guy who gets out of the shower and takes 15 minutes to put on his clothes. There is no need to go to the bathroom, shave, and talk on the phone while still nude. Put on some boxers at least!
Don’t Talk About your Sex Life Non-Stop
Yes, it is fine to talk about the occasional hot girl that you hooked up, but don’t go on and on about every girl you were with and how amazing it was. Not every guy is as interested in your sex life as you are!
Keep Your Junk to Yourself
This should be an unmentionable, however I will be safe and put it on the list. As I mentioned, the locker room is a sacred place, don’t abuse that by making others uncomfortable. Always keep three feet between you and anyone else when nude.
Do Not Whip People With Your Towel
This isn’t middle school! It’s a MEN’s locker room. So treat it that way.
Quick Showers
When you are showering with a bunch of other dudes, it’s a little weird when you stay in the shower for more than five minutes. Make it short and sweet. Use some soap, shampoo and get out of there.
