Summer is just around the corner and that means sunshine, sleepovers and barbeques! We have discovered the perfect summer treat that is healthy, light and refreshing. Fruit pizza is easy to make and something your kids will enjoy. Perfect for a beach day, pool party or barbecue, fruit pizza will not disappoint. Time to put down those sugar-loaded Popsicles and get your hands on a Fitzness summertime favorite!

Ingredients:

  • 1 seedless watermelon
  • 1 cup sliced strawberries
  • 1/2 cup blueberries
  • 2 sliced bananas
  • 2 sliced kiwis
  • Sprinkle of feta cheese (optional)

Instructions:

1. Cut your watermelon into round, circular slices. We recommend slicing each cut of watermelon into four slices, as shown in the picture.

2. Cut up all other fruit into small pieces and lightly toss together in a bowl so that there is an even distribution of each type of fruit. Use a spoon or your hands to add a small amount of mixed fruit to each slice of watermelon.

3. If you choose, sprinkle a little bit of feta cheese or even some lime zest on top and voila! You now have a fresh and tasty treat that is just as good as pizza. Feel free to mix up the fruit you add – peaches, pineapples, apple pieces, etc. for more variety. Enjoy!
