Not only do I personally experience this annoying “numb toes” issue, it’s probably one of the most frequent questions I get from fellow fitness enthusiasts who really want to get in some cardio without pain and irritation. Since the numbness is likely brought on by the angle of our feet causing pressure on the front of our foot while we’re using a stepper or elliptical trainer … an easy solution is to simply free up those toes and take the pressure off of them!

Closed-toed sneakers are almost always the right choice in a gym full of steel equipment and heavy weights. It’s smart for safety. However, this is one of those occasions when the switch is a brilliant idea. I actually wear sneakers in to the gym and change in to my favorite supportive flip flops at my machine. Not the rubber beach kind. Find a pair from TherafitShoe.com or WellRox.com (shown above) so you can enjoy arch and heel support with fancy freedom for your toes.
