I know guys- you could probably care less about dance classes. But don’t you want to add a little variety to your workout routine? And maybe even learn to dance? You may also want to consider that there are few other places where you will find that kind of guy to girl ratio. Dance classes may not be your thing, but it’s always good to mix things up,  try something new and I suggest giving Zumba a try.

Zumba, is a dance workout based on salsa and other Latin dance moves, performed to Latin music and International beats. Dances are choreographed to allow people of any fitness or dance levels to enjoy an amazing workout in a fun environment. This action-packed class also burns between 400-600 calories per hour, which is not bad. Along with basic dance moves, Zumba also integrates traditional exercises like push-ups and air squats into its routines, which combines for a fun and effective total body workout.

Its fast growing popularity has made Zumba a staple in fitness centers and studios everywhere. Even though the classes are truly dominated by women (which I consider a great thing), you’ll be surprised how many manly men are actually taking part. I’m not suggesting you should ditch the weight room and trail runs all together; I’m just saying that if you’re looking for something new and entertaining which will also provide a good workout, Zumba is something guys like you … should give a try!
