The Ike Special – High School Student with Down Syndrome Scores Touchdown, Builds Men

Sports are an incredible outlet for fitness, fun and learning about teamwork. THIS video however, shows what an amazing opportunity sports also offer when it comes to compassion, integrity and humanity. This tear-jerker shows how a hundred men from two opposing teams worked together to ensure Ike Ditzenberger, a 16 year old high school student with Down Syndrome, could score a touchdown known as “The Ike Special” during a real game. When many teenagers are overwhelmed by egos, these athletes, coaches and fans put theirs aside to ensure the happiness of one special kid. Love it! To learn more, watch the video below too.
