Happy Thanksgiving to all of my American fitness friends! I hope your feasts are healthy, tasty and fun. Thirty five of us will gather at my parent’s house and I can’t wait until 4:00pm Thursday when the food gets placed on the table. After playing football and soccer for hours, we’ll have three fifteen-pound turkeys, giant bowls of stuffing, cranberry sauce, mashed potatoes (made with skim milk and NO butter), asparagus, rolls, and a massive pot of black beans and rice contributed by my Cuban sister-in-law, Sandy. Hooray!
I plan to take a long run in the morning to get my day kicked off right. Maybe you can go do some sweating too! The other thing I wish you all is a pleasant and drama-free experience; holidays are fun, but they’re often stressful too. So try to keep things light, and pleasant. Escaping without any arguments is definitely something to be thankful for!
I’ll be thankful for my close friends, family, and spend special time with my very sick Dad who will likely not see another. I’m always extremely thankful to be able to work for millions and millions of folks like you who genuinely care about yourselves and are constantly working to improve. I’m genuinely grateful for each and every one of you and want you to know how much you mean to me. Being able to contribute in any way to your longer, fitter life brings me tremendous joy.
Enjoy the day, and get some sleep. We’ve got big shopping to do Friday!
