As a high school senior, Maddie burst onto the women’s freeskiing halfpipe scene during the 2012 season where she took the podium at nearly every major event she entered. She earned a spot on the January 2012 Dew Tour and had impressive early season results, taking the win at the Killington, VT stop, and third at Snowbasin, UT. Keeping up the momentum, Maddie went on to take home the silver medal at X Games in Aspen and finished out the season with a second place overall in the AFP women’s halfpipe rankings, thanks to her brand new cork 900, all before graduating high school.
In 2013, Maddie continued her trajectory as a top athlete on the competition circuit and has upped the ante in women’s halfpipe. She has podiumed at each competition she entered, including winning both the Visa US Grand Prix events in Copper and Park City, second at the Dew Tour in Breckenridge, bronze at X Games Tignes and an impressive Gold medal at the 2013 Winter X Games in Aspen, CO. Maddie is a member of the U.S. Freeskiing Pro Team.
