A hangover: having the urge to kill your routine, not work out, cheat your diet, and watch as many Netflix TV series as humanly possible. As productive as that may sound, do yourself a favor and turn to a new solution, which I may add, doesn’t require you being in your polka-dotted pajamas past 1 pm.
Mother Nature Network (MNN) provides us with 5 natural hangover remedies:
1. Bananas: “Excessive alcohol intake can eliminate your body’s supply of potassium. Bananas fill you back up with this essential mineral quickly, safely and cheaply.”
2. Water: The key is to drink one large glass of water before bed and the second you wake up the next morning. Rehydrate with the good stuff, baby!
3. Fruit Juice: fructose and glucose fruit juices replenish your body with essential vitamins lost during drinking. Sensitive stomach? Avoid O.J. due to the high acidity content (We at Fitzness.com don’t recommend drinking juice during non-hungover moments though!)
4. Honey: Try spreading some honey on toast for breakfast! Royal Society of Chemistry believes that is one of the best ways to beat a morning-hangover
5. Soup: “Filled with vitamins and nutrients and that familiar “feel-good” taste that warms the senses”
