Giveaway: Prospecs Power Walk Sneakers

By April 21, 2013October 29th, 201414 Comments

Walking shoes are different than running shoes. This is because our strides and levels of impact are very different during these two activities. So if you’re a walker, it simply makes more sense for you to wear shoes specifically made for walking. That’s where Prospecs comes in. Leaving runners for others footwear manufacturers, Prospecs has focused 100% of it’s efforts towards making shoes right for walkers. Depending on your pace and incline, walking can still be tough. So you shouldn’t take your feet or proper footwear for granted just because you aren’t “running”.

My favorite place to walk is a local trail that is 3.5 miles long and loops around a lake. It is really scenic and they upkeep it well. I subscribed.

  • My favorite place to walk unfortunately is not anywhere near where I live. It is a small neighborhood in Huntington, West Virginia that consists of varying hill sizes to walk up and down all while having a great view of the mountains as well as a few small lakes.

My favorite place to walk is the fitness trail around our new neighborhood – it was one of the places we picked this place to live. It is a good loop that gives the entire family – including the dogs – a great way to exercise for an hour a day at least!

My favorite place to walk is the never ending up and down rollercoaster park near my home in missisippi. Not only do you walk or run but you get your elliptical on at the same time.

My favorite walk is up to the fire lookout at the north side of Lake Tahoe. It’s about an hour round trip, straight up and then quick down. Quite the workout and quite the view at the top!

  • Nicole Hines says:

I love to walk the hills in my neighborhood. The whole loop is 3.2 miles with two really steep hills. Sometimes I walk with a friend, but most of the time I walk with our neighborhood walking club. 🙂

I love to walk the 5 mile loop around my neighborhood, the hills make it challenging but seeing the familiar faces of my friends out and about keeps me motivated!

  • My favorite place to walk is in the neighborhood in which I live, we are in a rural area so I appreciate the llop around the few homes here, it is almost a complete one mile loop!

There is a quiet trail near my house that leads to a big open field and I love walking there! 🙂 Thanks for the giveaway!

The best place to walk in the whole wide world, is behind the stroller that my grandson, Felix, sits in. When we get adventurous we freestyle walk or run side by side! The scenery is always good, rain or shine! Nothing is better than the feeling you get from savoring the beauty of your own backyard. For me in spring, it’s the pink and white magnolias or the smile of our neighborhood merchants that gets my heart rate up! Bring your own grin and it’s a party!
