Fixing your hair to look hot and sexy after a workout is a challenge! You use hair dryers and straighteners, and curling irons and yadda yadda yadda; the list goes on! While we are supporting your efforts to look amazing after you get your sweat on, sometimes it can be hard to transport all of these gadgets and gizmos. It can be especially difficult if you have just used your hot tools and are in a rush to pack up your gym bag and go. Don’t fret over throwing your straightener or curling iron in your bag and potentially scorching your clothes; try crafting this everyday household item in to a travel case for you hot hair tools!
You Will Need:
1 square potholder (preferably colorful and fun)
Sewing Machine

Directions:
Grab your potholder and fold it in half, with the folded edge either facing right or left (not at the top or bottom). Run a straight stitch down the side of the potholder opposite the folded side and stop when you reach the bottom. Now you should have something that looks like a Chinese Finger Trap, where you have two small holes at the top and bottom, while the sides are sealed off. Next, run a straight stitch long the bottom hole, closing the hold and creating a closed bottom for the utensil holder.
With two straight-line stitches, you now have the perfect holder for your straightener, curling iron, or any other hot utensil. Just slide your tool in (hot side first) into the top hole and the padding and protection from the potholder will keep the utensil from scorching your clothes or causing a fire hazard. While the cord won’t fit in the holder, you can just wrap it around the bottom of the utensil where it’s not hot.
