Baking during the holidays serves as tradition, entertainment and dessert. Kitchens across the world are dusted with flour, sugar and salt, smeared with frosting, chocolate and more. However fun this process may be, we know it offers a downside. Weight gain! If you bake, Fitz has four simple moves you can employ to make sure you enjoy all of the benefits of holiday cookies, cakes, brownies, pies, cake pops and more, without gaining 10 pounds. Let’s hit the New Year look and feeling fit.

You’ll learn when to bake, what to keep in your mouth while you bake, what secret calorie-free ingredient to bake with and what to do with leftovers. Being fit and healthy, and having a great body is simple. You just have to be strategic about it!

This is the sugar free syrup I use for baking, by DaVinci Gourmet. If you’re making a batter for cakes – I substitute this in equal amounts for oil or butter. If you’re making a dough – like cookie dough – I use a little less. Test it out a bit.
