The first Step Up made the then unknown Channing Tatum into a Hollywood heart throb. Step Up Revolution 3D brings the rich girl meets tough guy story to the streets of Miami. Tatum won’t be in this one, but stars Kathryn McCormick and Ryan Guzman ensure this film will be just as sexy as the original.

Guzman is a former MMA fighter with almost no film experience, but the fighters’ athleticism and good looks made him perfect for this dance heavy role. He had no dance experience prior to the film and that may have been a problem for most actors, but the core strength, agility, and balance he developed as an MMA fighter carried over to the dance numbers for the film.

Guzman didn’t even have to hit the weight the room for the 3-D abs he sports in the film.

“Dude, dance cuts you up really quick”. “I lost 15 pounds in one week of just dancing alone. Yeah, you lose a lot of weight and it tones your whole body up. You’re using…especially if you’re…partnering with a girl, you’re using certain body parts that you normally wouldn’t use. So after a week, two weeks, you end up looking down and you see a six pack and it works out.”

Kathryn McCormick made a splash as a finalist on So You Think You Can Dance, and is getting her first chance to star in a feature film. McCormick’s lean body and great abs have made her workout secrets a must-know, and in a recent interview with US Weekly she revealed to the key to her chiseled physique.

1. Dancing: McCormick takes three separate dance classes a week when she’s not filming to stay in shape.

2. Diet: Her diet is now meat and dairy free. She credits her organic diet for her high energy levels and good health.

3: Core: She can’t emphasize how important core training is. Pilates like Gyrotronics are a huge part of her training and are essential for bringing weak areas up to par.
