Happy Thanksgiving to all of my American friends! Hopefully your meals will be both healthy and tasty. My mother is cooking for 25 of us, and I can’t wait until 4:00pm when the food gets placed on the table. After playing football and soccer for hours, we’ll have 30 pounds of turkey, giant bowls of stuffing, cranberry sauce, mashed potatoes (made with skim milk and NO butter), asparagus, rolls, and a massive pot of black beans and rice contributed by my Cuban sister-in-law, Sandy. Hooray! I’ll workout for a solid hour in the morning to get my day kicked off right and then cap it off with a long hand-holding walk around the neighborhood with my Mister. I think you should do some sweating too!
I also wish you all a pleasant and drama-free experience with your friends and families. Holidays are only fun if they’re not stressful, so try to keep things bright, light, and pleasant. When a rude comment darts in your direction, count to 10 and plan to calm yourself at the gym the next day.
Right now, I’m not only thankful for my close friends and family. I’m thankful to be able to work for millions and millions of folks like you who genuinely care about yourselves and are constantly working to improve. I’m grateful to be able to contribute in any way to your longer, fitter life.
Enjoy the day, and then get some sleep. Friday we’ve got shopping to do!
