Keep these menu items healthy, and voila, you’ve got yourself a win-win solution that results in better health and a happier you. Remember, we’re not suggesting that you eat more than your normal caloric allotment, just make these wises choices when your hungry and your mood could use some boosting!

  • Oatmeal: Your brain will produce serotonin from the carbohydrates provided, leaving you feeling more at ease. Plus, it’s high in fiber!
  • Milk: The whey protein in it has been shown to decrease anxiety and frustration. No wonder it starts your day off right during breakfast!
  • Avocado: Tastes great and is high in monounsaturated fat and potassium, which both help lower your blood pressure.
  • Turkey: This lean meat contains tyrosine, an amino acid that helps your brain produce the neurotransmitters dopamine and norepinephrine. With these, your brain works quicker and allows your body to handle complex situations more easily.
  • Pineapple: It’s high in manganese and thiamin, both of which help your body convert calories into energy. It’s also delicious and packs in  nearly ten percent of your daily value for fiber.
