Simply put, when you eat crappy food you’ll have crappy skin. Melbourne dermatologist Dr. George Varigos supports the growing amount of research that suggests there is a link between diet and acne. His research has found that a diet high in refined, processed foods creates perfect conditions for pimples. So, what can you do? Adjust your dietary habits to pack in as many of these nutritious foods as you can to achieve a smooth complexion you can be proud of.

  • Low-fat or fat-free dairy products
  • Avocados
  • Tomatoes
  • Blueberries
  • Nuts/seeds/beans
  • Salmon or other fatty fish
  • Green leafy vegetables
  • Yellow fruits and vegetables
  • Orange fruits and vegetables

As a rule of thumb, stick to natural foods as opposed to pre-packaged or processed ones with a long list of ingredients.

These foods are great for the skin but it is also good to get facials regularly. My girlfriend gets them all the time. You just want to make sure they are all natural and organic facials. Since the facials, she has been spunky and her complexion looks great. It can also be a bonding experience because I help her schedule facials all the time. Sometimes we even do our own impromptu facials at home when we don’t have time. She cant get enough facials. She wants them all the time but she is sucking me dry monetarily.
