Want legitimately pearly whites? Take these six simple steps for a bright white smile.
- Take your time! You should brush your teeth for at least two full minutes. Brush each quadrant of your mouth no less than 30 seconds and make sure you reach around and brush each tooth at every angle.
- Don’t over-bleach! Studies have shown that people who chronically use whitening products will experience seriously sensitive teeth. However, if you just use whitening tooth paste for two weeks at a time, you may get the same effects and experience less sensitivity.
- Protect your enamel. A firm brush is not necessary for cleaning away plaque. Instead, use a soft bristled brush and use it for at least two minutes to scrub each tooth at every angle.
- Floss! Leaving food particles between your teeth with ensure your breath stinks and cavities have a comfortable place to grow. It’s a quick and easy thing to do, so make sure you do it at least twice each day.
- Defeat dragon breath. If brushing and flossing aren’t working, make sure you brush or scrape the back of your tongue. Bacteria loves to hang out here and stink up the place. A little minty mouthwash never hurt either!
- See your dentist. If religiously taking great care of your teeth while including a whitening toothpaste doesn’t give you the gorgeous smile you’re eager to have, it may be time to seek professional help. Dentists offer a wide variety of treatments in a range of prices which may serve your needs.
